Okay readers, I know what you're thinking. . . .(I'm talking to you, Mom and Kelsey--I think you are the extent of my readership:)
What happened to finishing a project a month in 2010?
In January--I slipcovered my couch.
What happened to February? Here it is March and I completely glossed over February.
Well, I'm here to tell you, I did complete a project in February. I just never posted it. It seems that life got away from me and I never got around to taking the picture and writing about February's project.
So, here you go. . .
February Project---Cleaning and organizing the attic.
I know, I'm with you--cleaning the attic isn't too exciting.
That's why it's been an unfinished project. It has been left on it's own for a looooong time.
In fact, it was unbearable after Christmas.
You see, we have VERY LITTLE storage in our house. Our closets are teeny tiny. So, we really use our attic--on a regular basis. I am in the attic space at least once or twice a week. It's almost like a spare bedroom!
BUT--On Februaru 28th, I tackled AND conquered it!
I should have taken a before picture but I'm sure that I subconciously blocked that idea out until it was too late.
Here's the finished product. My goal is to keep it this way at least through the spring.
Notice the walkway--that's new--usually, you can't even stand in here.
I know--the 1970s brown and gold shag carpet is making you jealous!
Notice the empty bins on the left--I still have room to fill those up!
Here's a sneak peak of the March project. . . . .
Only 24 more days to make it happen.
YAYYYYY! Looks good mom!
I have no idea what the next project is. trying to figure it out....
love you!

Me, ME!!!! Don't forget me!!! I'm your third reader---I WISH I had gotten in the attic in February---my attic is a mess---mostly Christmas stuff---and then the "other stuff"---I think your March thing is one of those cool outdoor chairs that my Nanny had---I LOVE those---am I close? Or maybe it's a bathtub for your back yard---are ya'll going hippie on me? I don't think they allow hippies in Cary---there's bound to be an ordinance about that----

um, and me :) I also tackled a space organization project last month! got rid of stuff from the basement which serves the same purpose as your attic and we use frequently. next is finishing my digital scrapbook from last year.

I'm guessing that Grandad's room would be the same as your attic. It has been my January, February and now my March project. I've gotten rid of a lot of books, thrown away (or shredded) old papers, removed unwanted pictures, etc. from frames and made piles to be sent to Jimmy's church for a garage sale. I just wish I could stay on task as you do and finish it.

Always enjoy your doodles! Courtney looks soooo
beautiful and grown up. If I remember correctly, I was with you and the girls when fabric was purchased. The attic looks great and quite functional. You always inspire me to 'gitter done'.
