I'm embarrassed.
I have been SO BAD about keeping up with this blog. I hate that.
When I started it, my goal was that it would be fun for me and a chance to tell stories that could be helpful.
What has happened is that life has gotten away from me. Several times a week I think to myself, "I should blog about that". I just never get around to it.
Hmmmmmmm.
There have been a lot of things happening in the past couple of months. Lots of changes. Exciting stuff.
1. Our firstborn child of wonder, Kelsey, just turned 20. TWENTY! How can it be? (There will be more on this in a later post--I promise! There is so much for me to say on this subject. I don't want to diminish it by talking about it in this list)
2. My Mom has moved here from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This has been a whirlwind. A couple of months ago, she mentioned that she was going to sell her house and move here. She thought it might be sometime in the spring. Well......things moved much faster than we thought they would. Her house sold in a week--to the first people who looked at it. They wanted to close on November 11! She made a quick trip out here for a weekend and found a house to move into. 2 weeks ago, I flew out to Tulsa, helped her pack her stuff and then drove out here with her. Today we started moving her in. It's been crazy!
3. Our daughter, Courtney, is a senior this year. She is up to her eyeballs right now in the college application process. It's fun on some levels, but mostly it's just stressful. It's not like everything in her life stands still while she is in this phase. No sir. Her life is full of school, work, church, friends, community service. Most nights, she's up until after midnight--just catching up. Then on top of that--she's got to find time to fill out applications and write essays for college. Whew!
4. More about Courtney. Her car was stolen. Right off the side of the road. The police have been investigating it but still have no leads. Thank goodness Greg usually has an extra car hanging around here. She is driving my van until we figure this out.
So, there it is--the roller coaster of our life.
I am looking forward to this next week--Courtney off for the whole week from school (I love that about Trinity Academy!), Kelsey flying home on Monday night and just having some great family time to hang out together.
